JYJ's Park Yoochun played an honest scholar in a Korean drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”. But his members had teased him by saying that Yoochun has emigrated to U.S when he was young, how could he possibly read Hanja? When Yoochun was 12, he emigrated to U.S, Virginia, he grew fond of music. Learnt to play piano by himself and started to compose songs then. Eight years ago, in a local Youth music festival awards, Yoochun was being spotted and scouted by Brothers Entertainment. He decided to give up his citizenship and went back to Korea. Seven years ago, he debuted as a member of 東方神起 (DBSK), they were very well known & recognized worldwide.  But, in 2009, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu were not satisfied with the SLAVE CONTRACT they signed with SM Entertainment so they left the group and formed another group JYJ  and entered the music industry once again.

Because of their contract problem, they have not been allowed to sing on stage, they turned to drama. Yoochun took up a BeeTV, Mobile Japanese drama 10 episodes <Beautiful love> (10 min per episode).  After that, he took up Sungkyunkwan Scandal. On May 2011, he won the best Male rookie actor, Male popularity award in Baeksang Arts Award. Yoochun said: In the past, other than members, his only good friend is Kim Hyun Joong, but now, he has Song Joong Ki & Yoo Ah In. Yoochun together with Lee Da Hae’s new drama; “Miss Ripley” Will be aired next month from 19 onwards (Taiwan). From Monday to Friday at 9pm.

Yoochun has been working very hard, and his hard work has finally paid off.  Three years ago, he bought a mansion is Seoul, brought his mum and his little brother back to Seoul to live with him. And he was afraid that his mum would be bored, he opened an ice cream shop called TIMEOUT GELATO in Seoul two years ago.  Lots of people especially fans have visited Timeout Gelato to see his mum. Park Yoohwan, (Yoochun's little brother) who is younger than Yoochun by 5 years, has debuted as an actor in “Sparking”. The career of the three of them (JYJ) has been shining brightly ever since.
