Nearly Fainted Upon Seeing Park Yuchun
Park Yuchun, lead actor in Sungkyunkwan Scandal and a band member of JYJ has proven his immense popularity in Asia, especially when he visited Bangkok, Thailand recently.
Almost 4,000 Asian fans from Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines attended the fan meeting “A Date With Park Yuchun” at Impact Arena. Organized by 411 Entertainment & CJes at Impact Arena Bangkok, the fan meeting received great response as most of the tickets costing between MYR 450 – MYR 150 were all sold out.
One day earlier, approximately 3,000 fans came to Survarnabhumi Airport to greet Yuchun, causing the police force to be on stand by at the airport. The standstill at the airport sparked interest from at least 200 media agencies about his visit to Bangkok
Fans had a great time at the fan meeting even though Yuchun only performed two OST songs from his popular dramas Miss Ripley and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Fans got even more excited when Yuchun willingly answered all the personal questions from the floor during the interaction session.
A fan of Park Yuchun could not hide her excitement when she saw him, she nearly fainted. She was very impressed with the handsome Yuchun especially after watching his acting in Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
According to various reports, a representative from CJes shared that the fan meeting is very special to Yuchun because even though he has performed at many concerts overseas, this is his first fan meeting without the other JYJ members.
Park Yuchun was quoted as saying; “I’m very touched with everyone’s love and very thankful for all the undying support from loyal fans”
With Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Park Yuchun has won 7 awards including Best New Actor Award at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards, Best Actor and Most Popular Artiste in Asia at Seoul International Drama Awards
After the fan meeting, Yuchun will be busy promoting their newly released album, ‘In Heaven‘ together with his other JYJ band members, Kim Jae Joong and Kim Junsu,
Despite the constant hindrances from SM Entertainment due to the lawsuit of unfair contract, JYJ proved to be unstoppable.
Nine songs, including ‘Get Out’, ‘Fallen Leaves’ and the title song ‘In Heaven’, have been topping most of Korea’s biggest online music sites such as Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Dosirak and Cyworld BGM.
The In Heaven albums were only available by Sept 27 in all major stores in Korea but prior to that, the album has received 300,000 pre-orders. This is believed to be one of the biggest pre-orders albums by any Korean boy band.
