[TRANS] 20110105 Micky Yoochun’s Fanclub Makes A Warm Donation

On the 31st of December, the day Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun) won the Best Male Newcomer Award at the KBS Drama Awards as ‘Lee Seon Joon’ in ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, Park Yoochun’s fanclub gifted Kim Jin Su (13), who is suffering from a brain lesion disorder, with presents and a donation. Their story was aired on KBS 2TV’s News Time on January 3rd.
Though Jin Su’s mother herself is fighting with cancer, she lives every day nursing her son who is unable to move his arms or legs freely. Park Yoochun’s fanclub ‘Blessing Yoochun’ heard about the mother and son’s situation through Field of Love (withgo.kr) and immediately began collecting donations. They sent 5 million Won to pay for Jin Su’s treatment along with other presents to the hospital in Daegu that Jin Su is currently admitted in.
The members of the fanclub who visited the hospital with a Field of Love worker had tears in their eyes as they watched over Jin Su, who breathes through a tube in his throat and eats with a tube connected to his stomach. One member cheered on the mother and son as she stated, “I hope his mother stays strong, and I hope great things happen to them from now on.”
The members of Blessing Yoochun are ‘Auntie fans’ and are people who overflow with love, not just for their favorite celebrity, but also for the community and those in need. Other than their donation to Kim Jin Su, they also donated 10 million Won to Park Hyun Bin (12) to pay for his burn-healing treatment fees through the Hanlim Burns Foundation.
Blessing Yoochun is a fanclub that only women over the age of 30 can join and the members unite through their love for Yoochun to help the community.

[News] 101020 JYJ donates $40,000 USD to children’s charities

JYJ has been quite busy promoting and preparing for both their global tour and for the release of their debut album, ‘The Beginning’. Yet despite their crammed schedule, they’ve taken the time to contribute to various heart-warming charities.

It was reported that the trio donated 30 million won ($27,000 USD) from their ‘JYJ Showcase in Seoul‘ ticket sales to the ‘Child Welfare Campaign‘, run by World Vision.

Additionally, while the tour made a stop in Malaysia , the trio requested that $10,000 USD from their entrance fees be donated to Malaysia World Vision, in order to aid the local underprivileged children there.
During an interview with the World Vision newsletter team, JYJ stated, “We’ve always had a lot of interest in donating to children’s charities, and when we heard about the ‘Child Welfare Campaign’, we were very saddened. We immediately thought of ways to help out, and we decided to donate the money from ticket fees as a meaning of giving to charity, together with our fans. We want to do our best and participate in more ways to save children in the future.”

JYJ will continue to demonstrate their conscientious sides, as they are scheduled to perform for the ‘Dong-A Charity Concert’ in Shanghai on October 23rd. Entrance fees from this concert will be donated to the Red Cross.

There are lots of comments in allkpop for this news:
Good comments from fans who are appreciated that JYJ used their ticket money doing a good deed and pround of them, so many goods comments that I lost count.

Bad comments: I have counted. (and one of the commnenters was a Vietnamese - I could tell due to her nick and I am ashamed of her of how shortsighted she was.)

1. They are using poor children to damage control their image, to counter attack that they are not "money hunger", to save image.
2. Blaming JYJ for MinHo's career (we know whose fans they are dont we)
3. They are terribe and low using this tactic on poor children, and just putting up an act.

Ok let me show you how shortsighted this bitch or bitches were.
At this stage JYJ would fit with this phrase "damned if they do and damned if they dont".

1. If they were using this to damage control then think about this. This was not the first time they were doing charity work.  For you own information DBSK had been donating and doing charity work ever since their debut. Did this also mean they tried to damage control their image as well then? Yunho was also doing some charity work at the beginning of the year as well.  Was it damage control? Go and do some research on DBSK's activities if you have some spare time rather than saying things that you havent a clue. We call this ignorance is a bliss.

2. Blaming JYJ for MinHo's careers is the worst possible cause you can think of when you can see that MinHo's popularity is declining. SM is the one you should blame on if you feel the urge to blame someone. SM is controlling their slaves and MinHo are their slaves.  SM has been trying to control JYJ's life if you care to read the paper on the "The Beginning" promotion. They even dirty enough to ask the Korean Cultural (whatever they called I dont really care-because they are controlled or forced by SM any way) to send official letter to TV stations not allowing JYJ to promote theid CD on TV. So who is controlling whose career?

3. If by donating $40,000 to charity to World Vision (a well known world organization) is low and terrible, then why on earth Princess Diana was spending most of her marriage life doing charity work? Was she also low and terrble? You can tell that to a British and you will get shot in second. If this is the premises then all the charity organizations in the world should be all closing down. Who give a fuss?

4. And if they are money hungry then they wouldnt spend that much on charity, they would keep the money to themselves.  And if they didnt do it earlier was because they just did the showcase, they can afford to donate.
