The ‘Korea Drama Festival(KDF)’ has gotten more plentiful.
The Korea Drama Festival, which will be held in the Namgangbyun region in Jinju, Gyeongnam, will be providing a program with more variety than ever before to cater to every generation of drama lovers.

◇The sets of many dramas in one area


Do you remember the much-loved ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ from last year? The drama set of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, which gave birth to many drama buffs who fell in love with the ‘Jalgeum Quartet’, will be prepared in the Namgangbyun region. ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’, the drama that was much-loved and even created ‘SSK-Addicts’ with the appearance of popular actors Park Yoochun, Song Joong Ki, Park Min Young and Yoo Ah In. A special exhibition center will be set up for those in the 7080 generation as the streets of the 1970~1980s will be recreated in the ’7080 Drama Set’. For the nine days that the festival will be held for, small and large performances will be held every day in the region. On the first and second day, a stunt show has been prepared to show viewers the fast-paced action scenes from various dramas.
A stage will be set up within the drama park and a continuous stream of music events will take place with DJs turning on various theme songs from dramas as well as pop from the 7080 generation.
Also, a performance of Ootchatsa, popular amongst the younger generations, will be held every night to ensure that people leave after a good laugh.
A representative of KDF stated, “This year’s drama festival is more plentiful than the years before as we have provided a wide range of experiences and sites that cater to all generations of drama lovers,” and “This autumn, if you’re planning a special family outing, we would highly recommend coming down to Jinju for the Korea Drama Festival.”
